PLEASE HELP! Im a guy how should i straighten short thick hair?

Gday!

I've always had short spikey hair up until last year when i got sick of it and decided i wanted to grow it longer and change my hairstyle. Its taken agez, i can wear it kinda "emo style" now but its all curly and stupid! I was told by my hairdresser to get it straightened n that it should look good then.

but im confused as, should i straighten it myself? or get permanent? will it stay? or will i lose the straightenness if i go in the water? cuz i am about to go on a massive trip to thailand!

but i look retarded! argh!!

help help please help.

wow what bitches that responded earlier. anyway, don't cut it. girls just get jealous of guys with long hair or any sign of feminine at all cause youre probably prettier than them.

you have a couple of choices

1.) get a 1 inch hair straightener. they sell them at target, wal-mart, everywhere. for as low as like $15-20. you have to straighten it everytime you wash your hair though.

2.) not sure how curly your hair is but try astraighten line of haircare products such as sunsilk straighten-up and herbal essences dangerously straight

3.) permanent straightening. you can buy an at-home kit but there are lots of bad reviews on them. or if you have lots of money get it profesionally done at a salon.

i suggest using ac ombination of hair straightening products and then use a hair straighten. you can get all of this for under $50 at wal-mart or target. =)

hope ihelped. fellow guy that straightens hair.

I say if you do anything your self you wont like it but if you get someone else to do it you wont know what to do when the time comes to fix it yourself, so try wetting your hair down first then adding some gel you know work it into your hair not your scalp. If that don't work try some hair spray or mous.

You can always use a blow dryer to help set up some of the products.

You can always get your hair layered to help with some of the straiting

Good Luck with hair %26amp; the trip.

Merry Christmas %26amp; Happy New Year!

it's all in the flat iron..get the Sedu(has better reviews and rating) or the Chi (the one that i have and it works great)and make sure to get a thermal protectant to protect your hair from the heat
