I need help with choosing a hairstyle someone help please?

Ok well the situation is...my hair is boring..dark brown, quite thick and at the moment just past shoulder length and has random waves about the place..and some culy bits underneath but the top is flattish but puffs out. It is currently in layers that dont really work...a gone wrong side fringe from where a normal fringe grew too long and was pushed to the side. I want to keep the length and so it can possibly get a bit longer, but with a good side fringe and so it doesnt do what all my other haircuts do where it goes flat on top sticks to my head and makes my head look stupid, flat and very round and shapeless. but i want it to be stylish and i like the style of emo hair cuts so possibly including aspects of that. Some suggestions. I also straighten it but because its thick on days i cant straighten it is puffs out and looks ridiculous so does the fringe.but when i do straighten it it goes very flat and does the sticking to my head thing. I need help!!??

go to a salon and explain and ask theri opinion and ask them to show you some pictures. See if you like them, then let them fix it.

blow dry your hair with plenty of moose or gel to give it some body once you have body in the top then straighten why not try a good stylist they are fab with all the new cuts they will advise you, they must see it to advise

ok my hair does almost the same thing aand my mom is a hair stylist so when i get out of the shower i blow dry it straight. how u do this is just brush ur hair stright while blow drying it. that way it doesnt stick. then since ur hair is long enough sweep it into a high pony tail and use a hair clip to give u a sweet looking bun!
