New haircut help!!!?

ok well right now my hair is about 6 in below my shoulder (this seems really long but its not that long!) its dark brown and i straighten it (with a CHI straightener =P) ok well i want to get an emo hair style but im not aloud to stick it up that cool way for school and i cant have them cut it to short because im not allowed to get extensions D=

I need pics of emo hair styles that are not really long and straight down not straight up!

**IMPORTANT**

-i need to be able to put it in a pony tail for GYM. or P.E. (same thing two diff words!)

-I dont want it to look like i have extensions either!!!

-it cant be to thin.
