!!CAN YOU HElP MY HORRIBLE HAIR??!!?

omg help! ,, cause im an emo,, its all about my fringe, soo....

ive been using straitners for about a year and a half now, everyday exept weekends (unless im going out).

i realised soon after that i used them,, that my hair was starting to split,, so i started to use hair protection,, and it just looks worse, its wirey and lifeless, ive been trimming it like every 3 weeks, and even the roots look dredfull and damaged!

i use good shampoo's and conditioners, (ive even used EXPENCIVE leave in conditioners). and somehow my hair still looks like sh*t.

i would lay of the straitners, but i'm way to vein to not use them! ,, is there anything i can do to make my fringe strait besides hairstraitners %26amp; dryers?? ,, and is there any HOME remedies to make my hair shiny and flexible again??

help,, oh p.s [my hair is coloured] but it still looked bad when it wasnt =[

My only question is what kind of hair straightener are you using? I've been straightening my hair for years, and it's just fine. It's long, healthy, and I only get the ends trimmed as needed. I use either Dove or Pantene hair products. I think my saving grace is that I use a $150 Chi hair straightener.

If you're that vain, why not invest in one?

I used to straighten my hair but that started thinning it. Then a friend of mine taught me how to wrap my hair to go to bed in at night.

Basically you start off by combing all your hair downwards from the centre of your head, covering your face as well.

Next, place one hand (if you're right handed use your left hand) at the center point of your head to act as an anchor. With the other hand use a comb to comb all your hair in a circle around your head starting from the front.

you will probably have to do this a few times over one area for it to stay in place.

When finished smooth it over with a brush to keep it more in tact.

Finally secure the hair around the head with hair clips placed at ninety degrees to the hairshaft or rather pointing from the hairline to the centre of the head. Tie your head with a scarf to keep it neat overnight.

When you wake up you will have perfectly straightened hair and a good night's rest!

If you are in doubt pop into an African-American or an African Caribean hairstylist's shop and ask them about it.
