Hair syles for long thick hair?

my hair is past my Bottom, and is very thick, thicker then every one I know, what kind of styles can I do with out cutting it? I'm more in to the goth/emo/punk look so please keep that in mind when answering my question. I need a new style, besides keeping it down and in a single poneytail. Thanks!

my hair is thick too and i had it long for some time now anyways , try straightening it (brush hair first) and if you don't have bangs then just separate your entire hair in half. if you do have bangs, push it to the side so it will block your left or right eye. %26lt;more emo style

You could try braiding it. There are lots of different types of braids. My favorite is one I've always known as a fishtail braid.

I'd try layering it, a little, not to much, but enough to give it a bounce. Sometimes it depends on hair color also, so if it's dark, your best bet would be to shape your face although that would mean cutting pieces of your hair. if it's light, I suggest just small layers.

You could try french braids down your back, off to the side down ponytails, crimping bis and pieces, such things as this.

that would change it alot. but with the lenght that might be hard.

even though you dont want a cut I would suggest getting some layers put in to help with the thickness, I have thick curly hair and it helps a ton. as for styles you can braid, and french braid.

Well, if you don't wan to cut it, you can try for the microbraids (which will cut down on some of the bulk too). This will allow you to alternate your look by braiding colors in, only braiding the sides, etc, etc... random braiding can also add a pretty cool effect and the braids look very nice when pulled back as well.

With hair that long, you're always going to need something that's easy to maintain and to pull up when it's hot. Just as long as you're having fun with the style though, it's totally up to you.
