How should I get my hair done?

I've got a heart shaped face, and a little bit bigger cheeks. I'm on the bigger side. I have thick, dark black (not dyed, it's natural) wavy hair. I want to get my hair cut and high lighted, but my mom and I just can't seem to agree on anything 'suitcable.' Do you have any ideas? I want something 'emo' as you may put it, maybe like red high lights or something? Help appreciated.

I think light drown or red highlights would look really good. You should purmitly straighten your hair. Try getting your hair cut like this they look really nice:
