Okay, so I have really, really curly hair... And I hate it.
It gets really frizzy, and I can't do awesome styles with it like I'd love to do. And it gets super poofy...
Here's me;

And the only reason why the curls are like that is because I took a shower and put this one stuff in my hair. But I really don't like the curls! Other days, it's a poof mess. What can I do to make my hair better? Take note I don't want it to be a regular thing, I want something not necessarily emo, but I think you understand what I'm talking about.

You can use these straightening hair products (like the 3-step herbal essence products: straightening hair shampoo %26amp; condition, then after spray you hair with a straightening hairspray and use a blowdrier to make it last longer)
Or what you can do is just simply mouse up your curly hair because it gives it more of a shiny, wet curly bounce rather than a frizzy crazy curl

At least your hair curls. Mine stays undecided b/w curls and waves. But the frizz it's got down pat. Sigh.
Anyway, my own experience has been that nothing, not one single hair product out in the market, works. And trust you me, I've tried them all. So go ahead and save your money. The only thing that does get rid of it is to use a hair straightener and straighten it. Chi is expensive but awesome. The cheaper wal-mart varieties of straighteners were not effective on my hair at all.

WOW! Your hair is really curly!
But why not fix the curls instead of fighting them? Scrunch them when they're wet. Maybe that will help?
If not, just straighten it. I reccomend the Remington Wet 2 Straight. =]
