GOOD GOD people! Please stop following everyone and be yourself! You know what I see on myspace? Default pictures with shots that only capture the top of their head, eyeliner GALORE, and black and white and sepia toned pictures. Bow ties on hair is hideous and tacky. Oh and those pictures that make your head look HUMONGOUS and youre feet supertiny? Disgusting! It makes ME want to cut myself and say emo phrases and sayings like, 'My heart is torn and you have the other half" or other stupid lame crap like that. OH, and Just because you put eyeliner does not mean youre instantly pretty or 'cool'.

All of you are a bunch of fakes. No one is EMO OR SCENE, etc. Not even Marilyn Mason or any other ugly mofos.

if you don't like seeing those people on myspace, i have a real simple solution: dont look at them. ignore them. if thats the way they want to be, then let them. who are they hurting, other than you? get a life and stop obsessing over others. and anyways, how do you know so much about emo/ scene people? you must have spent time figuring them out if you have the time to complain about them. obviously, you know nothing about them, because most emo people just dress like that, and listen to that kind of music. being emo doesnt mean you have to write depressing poems and go cut your wrists everyday. and the pictures on myspace, EVERYONE TAKES THOSE. get a life.

anyways, if you think theyre so concerned about themselves and not the starving people in other countries, id like to hear what you do to help those people. at least the emo bands that are out there have concerts to support the third world countries and raise money. i dont think you go door to door asking for donations or anything like that. so dont even try and make them feel guilty. it doesnt work. you cant change the way they want to be. so stop trying.

Me! Why is everyone defending this emo nonsense? Do they too secretly wish they could be emo? It's all fakeness and photoshopping. I think people just become addicted to it because it gets them attention. If they took off the stage makeup and overprocessed hair they would just be average or ugly. They can't get by on personality alone so they have to create an "image" or persona if you will.

One of the worst things to come out of myspace is this proliferation of people trying to be dramatic and deep. 90% of the "emo" people I know are about as deep as paper plates. 5 years ago they were listening to crappy rap metal like Limp Bizkit or whatever was "in".
