my friends are starting to think im emo because i wear eye liner and skinny legged jeans and just dyed the underneath of my hair black and brown on top and i have serioud side bangs...... and lasty mainly because on my right wrist theres a HUE cutt which i didnt do but it looks like i did and my other rist these a scar which looks like i cutt myself and i play electric guitar but how do i convince them im not becuz im not

Well most ppl define someone by the way they dress, but you shouldnt have to cinvince them that you arent emo because as long as you think that you look good and your happy with your look and that you feel comfortable with yourself so just keep doin your own things and if they dont like it tell them to shut up and to be happy for you that you are happy with yourself

well no offense but the way you describe yourself i would picture an emo. i dont really know how you can convince them you arent except if you change your appearance, but people dress the way they do because they feel most comfortable with it.

the important thing is you know yourself better than anyone else. they don't sound very "friendly" if they don't believe you. being labeled sucks... don't roll over, but don't overreact. calmly tell them those emo-ish things are just a personal choice. to hell with them if they can't accept you.

Dude, the best thing you can do is to just tell them "Look, I'm not Emo. I dress how I like, does that matter? I wear my hair the way I want to, who says that makes me Emo? I'm not part of some emo 'click', so can you please just back off?"

If they are your friends, they will understand that you don't appreciate this, and will hopefully back off.
