Are you comfortable with your new look? Because if you are, the label shouldn't matter. I think the label "emo" makes people think of whiny kids who don't have any ambition in life. If that's not you, I'd say you're just finding your own look. Besides, black is awesome!

My best friend is emo and she fit's PERFECTLY to your description except for, she has black hair with a big side-bang. She says she is emo in her own style, she loves all the hard-core rock, punk, screamo, and just regular rock.

Since I'm far from emo, I'm not an expert but I know that she is emotional but nice to everybody.

Emo can mean so many things, so if your ready to listen to your friends but yourself too..then consider yourself emo!
