My hair!!!!?

I'm really into rock music. ANY ROCK MUSIC IS GOOD.

I just stick out alot when i go to rock concerts because my look at the moment is very girl next door.

So i'm thinking about go for a 'Emo Mullet' (i'm not goin emo dont worry..) dying it black with blonde under neath and blonde under my sidebang. The hair dresser actually suggested this..and i kind of like it. I wanted to go dark brown but she said that jet black would make my electric green eyes stand out more.

What do you guys think i should do? Go for it?

Other hair styles that you guys think would look good are welcome too!

I'd say do it!Your eyes will definitely stand out and will look absolutely amazing!

yes i think you should go for it. I think you will love it (once you get over the initial shock of getting such a big change at once) and you'll feel confident. Just make sure you're prepared for the maintance.. ie special shampoo, styling it, will you get it dyed again next time $$$$$

i'm not one for emo mullets - if you ever decide to grow it out... yeah... it'll look awkward for months. my sister did the emo mullet look once, and for the months she was growing it out, it was probably the most awkward hairstyle i have ever seen.

i would go for a dark brown with the blonde. black tends to fade over time, and usually when i do a dark brown dye, it'll stay more vibrant and whatnot longer than a black dye would (black dye typically lasts like a month before it starts to fade on me).

instead of an "emo mullet" - i would just suggest a choppy, layered hairstyle (with side bangs) with all over dark brown and blonde as an underlayer, with some of it peeking out in different places.

if you don't want to do a choppy layered look and feel like that's too girl next door, you could also try an angled bob (the front being longer than the back) with chunks of blonde peeking through the dark brown.

I think your hairdresser has breathed too many fumes from the chemicals used in this profession. Jet black only looks good on those born with it. I would not recommend this to anyone unless I were one of those greedy hairdressers who talk their customers into something that is high maintenance just so they can make more money from you and I am not. If a customer wants something dramatic, I will do it but only after making sure they understand that it will cost them a great deal of money to get and maintain a dramatic color/style. Good luck.
